Notes and differences between rites

Halakhah⁂ To verify

The Talmud refers to this blessing as zman (“time”) and discusses on which festivals it is said.1

Halakhah⁂ To verify

According to the Shulchan Arukh it is also said on seeing a friend after a long time, over new fruit, and on buying a new garment or item.2

Halakhah⁂ To verify

On Yom Kippur and Shemini Atzeret it is said at kiddush or in the evening prayer; it is not said on the last days of Passover, because they are not a new festival.
