Overview

⁂ To verify

Among the most important monuments is Prague's Jewish Town with the Old-New Synagogue (Altneuschul) and the Old Jewish Cemetery. Rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel (the Maharal, d. 1609) worked in Prague.

⁂ To verify

The Moravian communities (e.g. Mikulov, Boskovice, Třebíč) had their own provincial organisation and Moravian chief rabbis (Landesrabbiner). The communities were decimated during the Shoah; today the Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic and individual communities are active.
